Complete board game design including game mechanics, game tokens, game board, character boards, character ability cards, movement and event cards, goose tokens and nests, collectable eggs, a spinner wheel, game instructions and packaging. I also created a real-life prototype of the entire project including all of the pieces listed above. In addition, I created all of the illustrations included in the project.
Project was a winner as the “Best of Graphic Design” in the 2026 Missouri State University Annual Student Show.
Game board
The game board was a challenging piece of design, both in terms of fitting everything within the space, but in making it fun and interesting.
The board design is loosely based on the board game "Sorry", but the game also includes some elements of popular role-playing games. It is designed to be an entry into this space without the complex mechanics of those games.
Squawk and Waddle cards
Character boards and Gooseability cards
Goose tokens and nests
The Waddle and Squawk cards are movement cards and event cards. Waddle cards are drawn at the beginning of each turn and Squawk cards are drawn when landing on the corresponding space on the game board.
The character board and Gooseability cards determine the abilities of your character and match your token.
Each character has a token and a nest, which sits on each character's "home" space. The nest is used to collect eggs. When you collect enough eggs, you return home and win the game!
