This poster was created for a competition for a jazz festival held in Gliwice, Poland. One of the goals of the festival was to highlight both music and design by offering the poster competition along with the jazz festival. Each year has a theme and this one was "what is jazz". As a jazz musician myself, I chose to highlight the numerous influences and musical characteristics of jazz by creating the brightly colored mosaic and using bold, contrasting typefaces.
