The idea for this illustration was to create a mashup...of styles, of characters, fictional animals, really anything. I chose to re-create the Simpsons opening couch gag, imagined as if they were a dinosaur family. Each character retains recognizable features and color palettes, but has dinosaur features (like long tails, dinosaur head shapes and big teeth). Some additional elements like the pterodactyl/volcano clock were meant to mimic some of the funny details in the TV Simpsons home (like the ears of corn curtains in the kitchen).
